Mikey Dread reasons with Ireggae about how he
starting DJing in high school and began working at JBC while he was earning his University
degree in electrical engineering. In 1976, JBC was not broadcasting from midnight
until 5:00 a.m. Mikey convinced JBC to allow him
to DJ during those times, and Dread At The Controls was born. D.A.T.C.
was Jamaica's very first all-reggae program, and earned Mikey the Top
Radio Personality award. Mikey
