||Linval Thompson reasons with Ireggae about his early days of recording
and how he eventually brought the late Henry 'Junjo' Lawes into the
reggae business. Linval also discusses his production career,
which includes Freddie McGregor's "Big Ship", The
Viceroys' "We Must Unite" and Eek-A-Mouse
to name just a few..
Linval talks about the success of his music in Europe
and his recent tour there to sold out crowds throughout France and Italy. He also
discusses the resurgence of the 'Thompson Sound' rhythms
which are featured in the latest release by Yami Bolo "Healing
Of All Nations", recently released by Roots Foundation Records.
Linval Thompson is preparing for his first visit to California in many, many years
to perform at the 8th Annual Sierra
Nevada World Music Festival next month.
