DJ-RJ has been blessed to be a part of the Austin, Texas reggae scene since the late 1980s, as a DJ and a drummer for some Austin reggae groups, including Root 1, Urban Roots, and Tribal Nation. His bi-weekly shows "Strictly Dancehall," and more recently,   "Reggae Evolution," have been since 1988 a prime source in central Texas for the best in conscious reggae and dancehall. RJ also a producer/engineer, having programmed and mixed tracks in a several genres, from hip-hop, to jungle, to dub.
